this cover art was made from a variety of sources. i first took a screenshot of the top of the cloud factory in Cloudsdale in season 1 episode 16, "Sonic Rainboom".
then the background was cut out and replaced with this cloud background by goblinengineer - goblinengineer.deviantart.com/…
