Apple Slices! by OJhat Apple Slices! by OJhat
I have too many photos to work with! This came from the rather boring and not-quite-so-fantastic-as-it-could-have-been Harvest festival on my campus. Will probably upload more to fit in with the holiday theme. Why is Berry Punch and Noi there? Because I'm trying to make my photos more natural with 'accidental' ponies walking in the camera frame in the background.

Great work here: the "accidental" ponies in the background give the feel that there are probably a bunch of other ponies outside of the shot (to me, at least). Also, good job with the transparency around the bowl; I'm curious as to how you achieved that effect.

in photoshop, I simply used the brush tool, set it to 'clear' instead of 'normal', and changed the opacity of the brush itself to clear away part of the visible glass on the food bowl that was in front of Applejack to create a translucent effect. It really all has to do with layering for the most part.

(I'm thinking abot making a tutorial if I find there are enough people who want me to do one)
