do you take pics just to add ponies to them?

you could say that yes. but then again, that's part of the job as a pirl artist, taking photos simply to ponify them. And as if you want ponies to be photoshopped into areas you live in instead of using google images.

at some point, you should start doing mlp/sonic the hedgehog IRL pics.

that would be for someone else to try, not me :) I prefer to stick to ponies myself

All of my photos are taken around my college campus or where I am on my trips. This one is on my college campus.

I choose to use the theory that she wears red contacts when she decides to wear contacts instead of her glasses. That way, everyone can be happy.

I prefer for people to argue and contend, but I guess that's okay.

I can't imagine how long this took to make. So much shading... and the end result looks fantastic. :)

Keep up the great work, fellow admin. :D

well thank you for the compliment . . . out of curiosity, how long roughly did it take for you to do your rarity by the stream one?

About an hour to find the picture and the right vector. Another hour to complete it.

well, I'll tell you the crazy truth about these PIRLs of mine . . . this one only took an hour. choosing the photo, choosing the vectors, placing and scaling and everything else. This is why I can turn them out so quickly; they take little time to create quality PIRLs. This was actually one of my rushed ones.

What kind of tools or tricks do you use to make your shadows?

Being that I use photoshop, I use a brush, color black, hardness 0%, opacity around 20%, for the ground shadows. The closer the hooves and tails are to the ground, the more times I go over the area underneath with the brush.

For the vector shading, I use the burn and dodge tools only; a trick I learned from Posipony himself back when he made a tutorial a while ago. only for mine they are set at 0% hardness, and roughly around 22% or 46% exposure depending on how rushed I am; for this I used arond 46% exposure. then it's just a matter of going over where I think shadows should be with the burn and dodge tools set to a midtone range, and I disregard edges for the most part; since it has 0% hardness, it's impossible to tell with that low exposure. I then go over the shadowed areas with the burn tool again with it set to highlights range to give a darker, grayer shadow on everything.

When I finally get to obtaining trustable recording software, the first thing I plan to do is create a tutorial of how I do my work. It's just taking me endless time to get around to getting it.
