hello everypony...... it's been a long while.
i'd like to say I've come to announce fantastic news all around, but such is life that there must be sorrowful news as well. I'll try to make this short and sweet as best i can, so let's get on with this, shall we?
if any of you recall me mentioning hints and teases about me creating a tumblr blog, well.... i'm sorry to say that that is fully closed down as a project of mine. perhaps, if a time comes much later on that i feel i can properly tackle the huge work involved, then i will try to then. but for now, I've given up on that project. I am sorry to boosting the hype, but at this point in my life i just don't have the time or endurance to be able to continually keep on top of a tumblr blog plus my deviantart page (and everything else!)
I've done alot of thinking about my little page here on deviantart. i started it off with making PIRLs. And as time has gone by, that is what I've been known for. somewhere along the way, i had wanted to try to expand out and try other things; certainly nothing wrong with that as an artist. It's good to try to expand in your skills. but as i experimented with different mediums here and there, things just never clicked. i suppose these constant falls in trying to keep up good momentum with trying them out wore down on me as a whole, and made me lose more and more motivation in my best medium, creating PIRLs. then eventually things just kinda crumbled. i wasn't putting anything out for months, and when i did, it'd be one or two, or maybe a bunch of really old ones i had made a long time ago. i just kinda lost my spirit for it all.
but this summer, I've gotten to thinking, that instead of trying to go after multiple types of projects, i'm going to refocus on what originally started my pony artist career; my Ponies-in-real-life photos. they are the heart of my work and the main medium of my work.
part of what halted my PIRLs as a whole was i had lost my main source of capturing photos, my phone. I've been unable to acquire a new phone with a camera capable of capturing photos of good quality until just recently. the other reason they halted was, well, i'd lost total motivation. when i had the time, (which i had quite a lot of) i didn't feel like working on them. it was a difficult part of my year in general, a number of life issues played into the whole scenario as well, but i won't dog on about that.
So. will i succeed in making a comeback with my PIRLs? i cannot honestly say yes. it may turn out that the flame for PIRL-making has fully burnt out for me. as the years go by, so does the brony fandom and the changes that come with it. But i wish to hope that after this NEXT bit of news, i will come back with much more enthusiasm than before.
this is the news you'll "probably" want to hear. I am attending Bronycon!
i won't be any more than your common attender, but if any of my watchers happen to be there, you might see me. all you have for reference, nay, all you really need for reference is to watch out for the orange hat i always wear. if you need a refresh on what that looks like, take a glance at my deviantart ID profile. i can't give any promises i'll remember who any of you are, but if you say you watch me, or heck, you just feel like talking to me about ponies, forget ME, i would love to get a chance to talk to you. for further reference, i'll probably be wandering around alot throughout the convention center on Saturday the most.
i'll be constantly trying to take photos of anything i think can make a PIRL, so IF i find it in me to make some PIRLs, they'll be bronycon related. who knows who might end up in the photos.
so, i think that's pretty much all the news and updates i have for this post. I won't completely stop from making other types of artwork, but i'm trying to refocus my attention back to PIRLs, so that PIRLs will once more be my main focus.
hope everypony else is doing well, and if any of you who read this are going to Bronycon, let's hope we may get a chance to meet each other.
